Write to the food and personal care companies you support, and put pressure on them to source sustainable palm oil from certified RSPO suppliers.
Write to your government, and corporations that you support, and put pressure on them to ban the use of palm oil for biofuel.
The Brazilian government is going against its promise to protect natural habitats in the Amazon. In the state of Pará, the government has replaced 40% of vegetative lands with palm oil expansion. This is placing huge amounts of stress on local wildlife and communities who live there. We can all help by choosing to avoid products that contain palm oil.
